What in your life are you questioning? What higher choices are you being called to make? Is there something you’re holding on to that is ready to be released? What is the value (or the cost) of your freedom? And, most importantly are you living YOUR dream?
This Lunation will undoubtedly elicit the BIG questions. The deep perplexing inquiries that reveal the greatest light. It is a time of radical revelation. It may not be easy to receive, but inner truths are undeniable and cannot long be hidden or avoided; the consequences of self-denial are often more costly than the price of self-acceptance. As a dear grandmother friend once told me, it all comes down to economics. We are constantly discerning how to best balance the checkbook of our lives. We measure what (and how) must be sacrificed in order to obtain our goal. When we sway from our truth as an act of sacrifice in service to other, we are actually being disloyal to both ourselves and them.
Knowing the impact of our actions and choices is essential. Our greatest sacrifices often appear selfish, when in fact, they are our greatest gifts. Loyalty to ourselves is our first loyalty. Questioning our responsibilities and our beliefs is a key component in dissolving the ambiguity in our lives. Knowing to whom and what we are truly responsible for will assist in aligning and guiding our actions.
Aquarians are known for their uniqueness and for being ahead of the times. With a natural inclination toward community connection and groups of friends. And, even though there is an air of detachment and aloofness to the Aquarian energy, they can be loyal beyond measure. Again we ask: What and whom are we loyal to and why?
Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, is forming a trine to Saturn, the traditional ruler of Aquarius. Saturn is the establishment of integrity, structure, authority and this trine is bringing us back to the facts with an air of harmony and positive vision toward future goals and dreams. We are coming out of the space of fear and into the space of possibilities. The structure that Saturn brings becomes the anchor to live more candidly. Uranus is simultaneously squaring Pluto and Venus in Capricorn creating a stronger urge to break down the structures that no longer support us while bringing more value to those that do.
Uranus is also forming a sextile to the moon/Sun igniting an inner rebellion. An urge to do whatever it takes to break free from limitations and be independent. Here again, we are trying to gain balance between structure and freedom, through self-mastery and awareness of how our inner realities meet the outer world. We are coming to know the necessity of form in becoming formless, and how to embody both. It is always through the structures that we are able to break free. Our sadhana (spiritual disciplines) are necessary. The yoga philosophy is not effective in and of itself, we must bring it into practice through the methodology.
Mars is another dynamic force in the cosmic dance this month forming a square to the moon/Sun. Mars in Scorpio is charged with initiative, passion, and drive; an inclination to push or force a situation/idea past the point of return. By staying attuned to what we are truly fighting for and recognizing if we are out of alignment with the very cause we are initiating might be helpful in taming the Martian instincts.
A lot is happening at this juncture and the winds of change are certainly blowing. A few words to the wise: LET GO. When we hold on, we realize we are NOT free. Freedom is a process of letting go and letting life. Freedom is a state of mind and a spiritual connection that is undeniable. It is the voice of the body, the cells of our being reminding us of who and what we are, and therefore, why we’ve come here. LISTEN, and trust that you know the way.
We always know, yet living the knowledge becomes the challenge. Why do we resist what we know? Why do we not accept what is? It’s so simple, and yet… The true sacrifice of the soul is to honor itself, this is the ultimate state of love and beingness, to not only live what we know, but to love what we know. Spiritual intelligence is not to be confused with intellectualizing, it is a feeling state that combines reason and emotion. It is the quest of our soul to enlighten itself – to become self-realized. The answers lie in the questions. As Rilke once expressed so perfectly, “…live everything. Live the questions NOW!”
