Many of us are questioning, on a deep level, the purpose of our lives and especially what we need in order to fulfill that purpose…to feel safe, secure and supported through the journey of achieving our goals. Capricorn represents the root chakra and the very ground of our being. It is also symbolized by the mountain goat who fearlessly moves onward and upward in pursuit of its ambition. One step…one traverse at a time, it knows that its perseverance will eventually pay off and when it arrives at its destination it will look across the horizon with expanded awareness, confidence, and fulfillment.

This is a HUGELY transformative and empowering lunation, especially if we’re willing to let go of the structures, beliefs, ideologies that no longer support us and take conscious steps to rebuild our foundations from a place of personal power and authenticity. The moon is conjunct Pluto, the god of the underworld, and will likely expose anything and everything that is necessary for us to excel on our god chosen path. Fear is what we must surmount. This exposure may come with a feeling of deep and penetrating insecurity, however the Sun in Cancer is conjunct Mars bringing a wealth of vitality to courageously ensure our safety if we empower and uplift ourselves from the inside out. We are at ground level here, so humility is key…there will be no room for righteousness.

Full moons are typically highly charged and this is especially so with Mars conjunct the Sun (in Cancer) opposing Pluto conjunct the Moon (in Capricorn). Emotions may be climaxing as we come to understand our inner resistance to change. We are breaking free from obsessive patterns that have been embedded in fear as we reform and restructure what we believe about our selves and our sense of security at a fundamental level. As we learn to meet our own needs, we learn to love ourselves – becoming self-reliant, and thus, self- sustaining. Commitment to self love, clear boundaries, and renewal is the nucleus of any current revelations.

It is with unending commitment, determination and fortitude that we claim authority over our lives.
