FULL MOON in GEMINI: Dec 3, 2017 @ 10:05am EST at 11 degrees
We are on the edge; the edge of duality, where the known meets the unknown. We are communing with the forces of both knowledge and mystery, and exploring the magic of the in-between. We are seeing more clearly what is separate within; what is at odds… at war… or what is on the edge of the great inner divide. The edge inevitably cuts a clear line between truth and fiction.
Today’s Gemini Full Moon is bright with ideas and gleaming with inner reflections. The innate duality of the twins is highlighted here and reversals can be predominant. Gemini is known for being a magician and shape-shifting reality. Communication, curiosity, and play are names of the Gemini game.
Mercury, the ruling planet of Gemini, went stationary retrograde yesterday (Dec 2 – 22) at 29 degrees Sagittarius leading us back into the fires of truth to fully reclaim the blazing realities of our broad perspectives. We must give recognition to the revelations we’ve received and integrate what can no longer be denied. With Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius we are re-evaluating all the ideas, thoughts, and beliefs holding us back from being and living in truth. We are integrating mind and body for ultimate alchemy of turning that which is lead into gold.
Mercury is conjunct Saturn doing a final surveillance and elimination of any beliefs impeding further growth. Mercury and Saturn are looking to receive a good report as they come through the realm of clear single pointed focus and absorb the teachings of the expanded mind; setting the standards for individual authenticity higher than ever before. This is a time of sober truths while simultaneously surrendering judgments and rigid thinking.
Saturn will be looming at the last degree of Sagittarius, preparing to take it’s leap into Capricorn (on Dec 19 in conjunction with the Winter Solstice), and giving us a final opportunity to resolve issues related to beliefs about ourselves, our world, and our truth, along with coming to terms with right actions and right timing.
It is always wise to rise above situations in order to gain perspective and it’s essential that we aspire for the good of all involved. With Gemini’s ability to shape-shift this can be a highly transformative period. Changing our minds requires that we change our perspective.
With the Moon/Sun square Neptune we are being called up to communicate as clearly and confidently a possible. Confused communication and lack of clarity may be the contributors to whatever we are denying… preserving lies will only turn our visions to dust. This is a period of investing in hard core truths whatever the cost. For the price of denial can be much more painful than the end rewards of truth.
