NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE in PISCES: Feb 26, 2017 @ 9:58am at 8 degrees

Becoming aware of Maya or The Cosmic Illusion is to realize the Self in relation to life and nature. It is also the understanding of the time space continuum in which we exist and the cyclical patterns of life, along with the conscious recognition that we are spirit moving through time (kala purusha).

Today’s New Moon Solar Eclipse is activating the polarized forces of Pisces and Virgo and the energies of spirit (purusha) and matter (prakriti) and with it comes the insight as to how close we are to unifying this field of consciousness.

As we look to the outer world it is becoming ever more challenging to identify the real versus unreal; giving each of us the opportunity to more readily access our inner dimensions and the wisdom encoded in our memory as a means of discerning between fact and fiction. We are coming to terms with the ultimate reality and the level of sustained awareness required to be integrated beings.

The nature of Pisces is deeply compassionate and unifying. Its powers of intuition and extreme sensitivity are strong. Pisces feel their way through life and are known for limitless boundaries. More than any other sign Pisces relates to some form of denial. Confusion and overwhelm are common when Pisces is highlighted and this is especially true at present.

The ancient Vedic scriptures declare that the physical world operates under one fundamental law of maya, the principle of relativity and duality. God, the Sole Life, is an Absolute Unity; He cannot appear as the separate and diverse manifestations of a creation except under a false or unreal veil. That cosmic illusion is maya. Every great scientific discovery of modern times has served as a confirmation of this simple pronouncement of the rishis.

Newton’s Law of Motion is a law of maya: “To every action there is always an equal and contrary reaction; the mutual actions of any two bodies are always equal and oppositely directed.” Action and reaction are thus exactly equal. “To have a single force is impossible. There must be, and always is, a pair of forces equal and opposite.”

Eclipses are energetically magnified lunations and were seen by the ancients as fateful markers in time. We have learned to pay close attention and take note of both individual and collective energies of eclipses as a means of anticipating future events or what is necessary to be resolved to move forward more aligned. Eclipses are portals, initiations, and always an opportunity to claim more of ourselves in harmony with the whole.

This eclipse highlights the signs of Pisces and Aries with the majority of planets and luminaries occupying these territories. Pisces is about completions/ending, and Aries is about initiation/new beginnings. With the nodes also involved South Node in Pisces and North Node in Virgo the initiation is intimately related to the integration or the combining of qualities and energies of these two signs. Neptune the ruling planet of Pisces is conjunct the moon/Sun strengthening our psychic, imaginative, and limitless experience. We must not dissolve into the whole without awareness of our individuation.

Mars conjunct Uranus in Aries is activating radical individuation and the urge to change the image of self and bravely be whole, as one.

In order to give individuality and independence to Its thought images, Spirit had to employ a cosmic deception, a universal mental magic. Spirit overspread and permeated Its creative desire with cosmic delusion, a grand magical measurer described in Hindu scriptures as maya (from the Sanskrit root ma, “to measure”). Delusion divides, measures out, the Undefined Infinite into finite forms and forces. The working of cosmic delusion on these individualizations is called avidya, individual illusion or ignorance, which imparts a specious reality to their existence as separate from Spirit. 

It is a time of change…what are you not willing change that needs to be changed? And, what’s going on under the surface? The answers to these questions will give great insight as to what you personally are working toward unifying or what illusion you are in denial of.

This eclipse is a call to service from our highest presence. In order to answer the call we must make the necessary changes within to walk the path of truth. To be of service is the highest and most noble path of humanity. This lunation reminds us of our humanity and the incredible power of our spirit to nourish and uplift our potential. In life there is a process and it is through the process that we fulfill our dreams.
