FULL MOON in SCORPIO: April 22, 2016 @ 1:22 am PST at 2 degrees
The ultimate power of change comes from within; by confronting our desires and living our Heroic Truth. It is our duty and our responsibility to own our lives. Prince Ea asks: “Do you have the courage to grab the dream that picked you?” We are hard wired and built to live out our dreams and this includes knowing and coming to terms with what we want and don’t want. This lunation takes us into the underworld to meet our trials and failures, to connect with our inner guides and attain our spiritual boon in preparation for our ascension and return home, this is the hero’s journey to know what we must do.
Emotional currents are strong as we rewind, unravel, re-evaluate, and re-ignite. Scorpio is the sign of emotional depth, all the feelings we stowe under the surface, and the more they remain hidden the more potent they become. With four-five planets currently in retrograde including Pluto and Mars, the planetary rulers of this full moon, along with Jupiter, Saturn, and soon Mercury we are experiencing profound stirring of the underworld and inner realm. Retrogrades invite us to go back, to return, to go in… therefore, this is a time of inner reflection and a re-evaluation. We may also be feeling an uprising as if we are at war with ourselves – a battle between inner and outer polarities. All that has been hidden is now ready to be revealed, honored, and uplifted. Our greatest power is derived by confronting our uncomfortable shadows. We must align and find the balance or endure the growing pain that leads to greater suffering.
Releasing tension is necessary to commune whole heartedly with what is by paying homage to all aspects of ourselves – loving the darkness, the rage, and the wild. Repressed anger can spike our nervous system and deplete our adrenals. Consciously and gently moving and releasing pent up energy will support the surging waves and soothe the changing forces within. The brilliant light of this full moon is helping us to navigate the dark terrain and aiding in our ability to meet personal needs by laying claim to the wisdom of our emotional resources.
The seed of this lunation began at the New Moon in Aries the masculine aspect of the Manipura Chakra (solar plexus) and this Full Moon in Scorpio is the feminine aspect of the Manipura Chakra. We are rising up through the center of our being, our willpower, in order to soar into the realm of heart – further aligning our willpower with the will of life divine.
The illuminating Sun in Taurus opposing this moon is earthy, self-sufficient, and embraces sense pleasure. It is here in the harmonic of the heart where we come to be forgiving and compassionate toward ourselves and life. And therefore, it is of utmost importance to love and value who we are. Let the strength of the Sun provide the courage to RISE up, yet again, and live TRUE!
