VENUS RETROGRADE: Oct 5 – Nov 16, 2018
The Goddess of Love and Attraction is beginning her descent into the deep dark Scorpio waters. Venus teaches us about values, wealth, harmony, and beauty and in Scorpio’s domain magnetism, passion, and power are the themes. It is likely that each of us will undergo some sort of death/rebirth experience through this retrograde cycle. Potentially foregoing egoic attachments, limiting values, or false self-images for something more penetrating and powerful.
Venus longs for true beauty. A beauty that reflects the purity of our essence and unparalleled inner and outer harmony. Venus in Scorpio seeks collaborative partnerships that together have boundless potential. Scorpio territory can feel scary and even dangerous, for the depth of our being holds all the mysteries that reveal our true nature.
Jealousy, possessiveness, intimacy, uncontrolled urges, desire for connection, power struggles, sexuality, domination are all examples of what could be illuminated as Venus sheds light on what holds us back from or prevents us from claiming our personal power. Relationships, self-love, creativity, other peoples values will be highlighted during this time.
Venus is a highly revered goddess known for bringing grace to all that she touches and grace is the medicine that will assist in bridging the gap between self and other and is the salve to heal our inner wounds. We are clearing the path toward deeper more honest love. For the next forty days VENUS is the mirror, may each of us rise up in her image.
